Our Story
Kyle’s True Turf Lawn Care was born out of a simple belief: a great lawn doesn’t come from chemicals or quick fixes—it comes from consistent, knowledgeable care. After years of working for larger companies where speed was prioritized over quality, owner Kyle Newman-Vanderveen decided to build something different right here in Boise. He started with a single mower and a commitment to showing up on time, every time.
Today, we remain a local, independent operation based out of the South Regent neighborhood. We haven’t expanded into a faceless franchise, and we never will. We simply focus on the homes and yards of Boise, building relationships one mow at a time.

I started this company because I believe your yard should be a place of pride, not stress. I grew up mowing lawns in this very neighborhood, and I noticed that many homeowners felt rushed or ignored by the big crews rolling through. I wanted to offer the opposite: a service that actually sees the property.
There’s a difference between cutting grass and caring for turf. True lawn care means noticing where the soil is compacted, spotting the weeds before they spread, and knowing which areas need a little extra seed in the fall. It’s a craft, not a chore.
We don’t pretend to be the biggest operation in Idaho. But I promise you this: when you hire us, you are hiring me. I am on-site, I am listening, and I am personally invested in making sure your lawn looks like it belongs on a postcard.
Our Approach
We don’t chase trends in the landscaping industry. We stick to the fundamentals: proper mowing height, sharp blades, correct watering education, and patience. Our team meets weekly to discuss the specific properties we manage, ensuring that if a lawn has a dry patch, we address it immediately rather than waiting for it to spread.
We believe that education is part of the service. We often take a few minutes to show homeowners what we are noticing—whether it’s grub damage starting to show or an irrigation head that is misaligned. An informed client is a happy client.

Our Vision
We envision a Boise where every neighborhood has access to patient, knowledgeable lawn care. We are not interested in rapid expansion or managing hundreds of cookie-cutter properties. Our goal is to deepen our relationship with the yards we already serve and perhaps take on a few new neighbors each season.
We hope to redefine what “professional lawn care” means: shifting the focus from speed and volume to stewardship and beauty. We want our clients to look forward to mow day.
